How to integrate Birdie + Blip

Birdies Blip integration enables users to import chat history from your Blip account. Below are the key steps to setting up the integration so Birdie can pull data from your environment.

Our integration uses the Blip REST API to pull in chat threads from your chat bot.

To get started, you'll need a Blip Environment with a chat bot configured. 

Head over to your Blip console and find the Bot you want to connect:

You'll be redirected to the Bot management page.

Head over to the configurations by clicking the Gear icon on the upper right corner.

On the configurations page, you can head over to the connection information on the left hand side:

On the connection information, you can scroll down to the HTTP endpoint sections.

Please copy the URL for commands so you can send it to the Birdie team.

We will also need an API Key to be able to make requests to the HTTP endpoint.

On the left hand side click on the Access Keys section.

Next click on the Button to create a new key and fill in the name for it, e.g Birdie integration.

Once you've created the key, a page with the secret values for the key will be displayed.

Please copy the Key for use with HTTP and send it to the Birdie team: 

After you've followed through the steps, you'll need to send the Birdie team the following information:

• HTTP URL for sending commands

• API Key for use with HTTP
