Parent Statuses
Enhance progress tracking with Parent Statuses
Custom Statuses are important for you to track the progress of your initiatives, and with the Parent Statuses, you'll be able to better track the progress of your Opportunities.
What is a Parent Status?
A Parent Status is a high-level category that a Custom Status can be grouped under. There are three core Parent Statuses to represent the primary stages of any workflow:
To Do: For Initiatives that have not yet been started.
Doing: For Initiatives that is actively in progress.
Done: For Initiatives that have been finished.
You can assign one of these parent statuses to each of your custom statuses. This creates a clear hierarchy, allowing you to see both the granular detail of your custom workflow and the broader progress at a glance, for Opportunities that have multiple Initiatives linked to it.
How to assign a Parent Status?
You can assign a Parent Status when creating or editing a Custom Status.
Simply click on the Parent Status dropdown menu and select on of the options.
